چکیده
Introduction & Aims
TKA in more active and young patients has prompted the interest durable biological methods of Osteo-integration with cementless components. With emergence improved biomaterials like porous titanium success, search for a long-term durability survivorship may have ended. This is retrospective study 492 consecutive TKAs using Cementless tibial fixation, reporting on early 4 years clinical radiological outcomes.
 Method
We studied performed consecutively by single surgeon between 1stJan. 2010 31stDec. 2015 cementless, fixed bearing tray (porous–Regenerex, Vanguard, Zimmer-Biomet) femoral component (Vanguard) no exclusion criteria. Clinical follow-up was done these addition comprehensive joint registry review whole cohort (Level II evidence).
 Results
The average Knee Society Score at final 89.33, pre-op being 42.06. Average post-op WOMAC score 43.45 77.78. On examination, had osteolysis around base plate. In our series 9 were revised, out which only revised 5 patella resurfacing or liner exchange. Overall excellent 99.4% 5.9 based AOANJRR data.
 Conclusions
fixation construct can provide stable bone ingrowth side predictable to year outcomes.

Tibial Base Plate for Total Knee Arthroplasty: Symmetric or Asymmetric?
BACKGROUND Ideal positioning and best coverage of the tibial base plate are essential in total knee arthroplasty. There are 2 types of tibial base plates: symmetric and asymmetric. The superiority of one to the other is still controversial. The aim of this study was to compare symmetric and asymmetric tibial base plates for total knee arthroplasty in terms of rotational alignment and coverage. ...

Bone Joint J 2016;98-B:867–73. As the number of younger and more active patients treated with total knee arthroplasty (TKA) continues to increase, consideration of better fixation as a means of improving implant longevity is required. Cemented TKA remains the reference standard with the largest body of evidence and the longest follow-up to support its use. However, cementless TKA, may offer the...

متن کاملEarly radiographic and functional outcomes of a cancellous titanium-coated tibial component for total knee arthroplasty
BACKGROUND Various surface coatings have been developed over the past decades to enhance fixation of cementless total knee arthroplasty (TKA). BIOFOAM(®) (MicroPort Orthopedics Inc., Arlington, TN, USA) is a novel cancellous titanium surface coating intended to increase both initial and long-term fixation. The purpose of this study was to investigate the early functional and radiographic outcom...
متن کاملCemented or cementless total knee arthroplasty?
INTRODUCTION Since 1996 we have been using cementless fixation with hydroxyapatite (HA) coating. The purpose of this paper is to compare survivorship of a series of 100 cemented Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) to a similar series of 100 cementless with a follow up of 11-16 years. Material methods: Both TKA are mobile bearing total knee postero-stabilized. They can be used with cement or without c...
